Can digital accounts and passwords be organised?

Yes. Digital legacy and digital-account instructions can be organised as part of Evaheld’s Estate Planning layer. A person can create a clearer record of which accounts exist, why they matter and what they want an authorised person to do if they become unable to manage them.

What to organise

A useful digital account record may include email, social media, subscriptions, cloud storage, websites, devices, loyalty programs, online businesses and digital assets. Context matters: note the purpose of the account, the preferred action, the relevant contact and any provider-specific legacy setting.

Password handling should be deliberate. Avoid placing sensitive access details in broadly shared notes, and use the security and sharing controls intended for that information. Account details should be reviewed when credentials, devices or trusted people change.

Access is not automatic authority

Recording an account does not guarantee that another person may legally access it. Providers have their own terms, identity checks, memorialisation processes and rules for deceased or incapacitated users. Wills, powers of attorney and estate law may also affect what an executor or attorney can do.

The vault is therefore a map and instruction record, not a way to bypass security. Clear information can help an authorised person find the right process, but they should still follow applicable law and the account provider’s requirements.
