Can siblings participate?

Yes. Siblings can participate through Rooms, Content Requests and trusted-person access when the parent chooses to involve them. Participation remains permission-based, so being a child or sibling does not automatically provide access to the whole vault.

Ways siblings can help

One sibling might prompt a parent to tell a family story, another may contribute photographs, and another may help organise practical information. Content Requests give relatives a structured way to ask for something without taking over the parent’s record. Rooms can support collaboration around a shared subject or purpose.

This can be particularly helpful when adult children live in different places or carry different responsibilities. The family can contribute what each person knows while keeping the parent’s voice and decisions at the centre.

Keeping roles and privacy clear

Families should agree on what each person is helping with and avoid assuming that practical involvement means unrestricted access. Health information, private letters, account details and personal wishes may need different audiences.

The parent controls sharing and can make different choices for different siblings. Clear roles reduce duplication and conflict: one child may help with stories, another with appointments, and another with estate contacts.
