What happens after payment?

Last Updated:

Detailed Answer

After payment, the buyer moves through the optional Family Pack upgrade, gift setup, recipient claim and first-value onboarding. These stages separate the purchase from the private vaults that each recipient will own.

Buyer setup after checkout

The buyer first receives confirmation of the purchase. If a Family Pack upgrade is offered, it is optional and should be reviewed as a separate decision. The buyer then configures each included gift with the recipient details and chooses whether to deliver it immediately or at a scheduled date and time.

A printable certificate is available for a configured gift when the buyer wants something physical to present. The certificate supports presentation, but the digital invitation remains necessary for claiming the vault.

Recipient claim and onboarding

Each recipient follows their own claim pathway. Under a Parent Pair, Mum and Dad receive separate vaults and complete their own setup rather than sharing one login. The recipient then begins first-value onboarding, which is intended to help them add an initial story, wish, contact or document without needing to complete the whole vault at once.

The buyer does not automatically see the content added during onboarding. Recipients control their information and decide whether to share selected material with the buyer, siblings or other trusted people.
