What is included in Story & Legacy?
Detailed Answer
Story & Legacy is the part of Evaheld dedicated to preserving a person’s memories, identity and guidance for the people they care about. It can hold life stories, family history, photographs, written messages, voice and video recordings, values, lessons, recipes, traditions, legacy letters and messages for the future.
What a parent can preserve
There is no required format or single definition of a worthwhile story. A parent might record how they met their partner, explain the history behind an heirloom, describe a migration journey, save a favourite recipe or speak about a lesson they hope their children remember. A photograph can be stored with the names, place and story that give it meaning.
Voice and video can preserve expression that writing alone cannot capture. Written entries remain useful for dates, family trees, detailed memories and instructions. Using several formats lets each person choose what feels comfortable and sustainable.
How families can contribute
Rooms and Content Requests can help trusted family members participate without taking ownership away from the vault holder. A child or sibling might ask a question, suggest a memory to record or contribute material in a shared context. Access remains permission-based, so participation does not mean every person sees every item.
Story & Legacy does not require somebody to write a complete memoir. A useful collection can grow one memory, photograph, recording or message at a time. The goal is not literary perfection; it is to preserve authentic context that may otherwise disappear.
