Will the buyer automatically see the recipient’s information?

Last Updated:

Detailed Answer

No. Buying an Evaheld vault for a parent or another recipient does not automatically give the buyer access to that person’s private information. Payment and gift setup are separate from ownership and permission to view content.

The recipient remains in control

After the gift is claimed, the recipient builds their own vault and decides what to add. They can preserve stories, care information and estate-planning details without assuming that the person who paid can read them.

This boundary matters because a useful vault may contain sensitive material. A parent may want help getting started while still keeping particular health details, personal messages or legal information private. Clear ownership makes honest planning easier.

Sharing is a separate choice

The recipient may choose to invite the buyer or other trusted people into selected Rooms, respond to Content Requests or share particular information. Those decisions can differ by person and by content.

Family members should not treat the gift as consent to monitor or manage the recipient’s account. If somebody needs legal authority to act, that authority must come from the appropriate formal process, not from purchasing the vault. Evaheld’s role is to support permission-based organisation and sharing.
